Taking Charge!

There is medical research evidence sharing the health of your stomach biome is directly related to your mental health. (2)

With that said, there is a direct relationship between our Physical bodies, our Emotional bodies, our Mental bodies, our Etheric bodies, our Astral and our Spiritual bodies. All these bodies make up our whole being. (5)

If we look at the medical research statement at the top of this page, we see that they have proved there is a relationship between the Physical body and the Mental body.

Receiving Reiki energy can help in balancing our various bodies. But if a person does not take part in their own healing, their benefits they have received from Reiki energy will not last.

It takes each of us to heal our ownselves. Receiving Reiki energy is a good step. But it requires the person to take interest in their own healing.  Clients need to take moments to "feel" when there are emotions and memories bubbling up. (This is part of the Reiki healing.) Clients need to look into the very root of their trigger and emotions that has possbily contributed to their decline in health.

A Reiki practitioner works with the client by providing the Reiki energy. The Reiki healing requires the client to take part in their own healing. This is the only way the client can have long lasting effects in their health.

A client can help in their own healing by also watching their food consumption.

The old saying, "We are what we eat," has been proven in medical research.

If we eat tons of salt every day, we create a hypertensive body due to the salt constricting blood vessels.

If we eat tons of sugar, we may create a body that requires extra help in neutralizing the sugar- a diabetic body.

If we do not eat quality iodine, we create a body that has a poor performing Thyroid gland. Thus, many other areas in your body will also be poorly performing.

If we take in (eat) aggression and negativity continually, we become aggressive and negative people.

This is where I want to introduce some older, but still viable medical research.

If we eat a high-quality yogurt (high quality meaning: low saturated fat, low to no sugar added, and many live bacterium strains) throughout our week, we can change our unhealthy stomach biomes (bacteria growing in our stomachs) with a healthy stomach/gut biome!

Yogurt is a probiotic. But in order to keep these healthy strains of bacteria ( gained from our yogurt) in our stomachs growing, we need to add a prebiotic. A prebiotic is natural fiber such as vegetables and/or fruits. The prebiotic is food for these healthy bacteria to eat and grow in our stomachs.

There is medical research evidence that states a healthy stomach biome is related to our mental health.

In other words, if we have unhealthy stomach biomes, we are mentally unhealthy as well.

Eating fast foods and processed foods equals unhealthy stomach biomes. Which means also an unhealthy mental body as well.

So, "what we eat is what we are," is true.

Changing what we eat to whole foods, less saturated fats, healthy oil (Olive oil), adding a lot more vegetables, a lot less sugar, and eliminating processed foods means:

  • Cheaper eating.
  • Investment into your stomach health.
  • Investment into your mental health.
  • Investment in to your overall health.
  • Less medical bills.
  • Happier you.
  • Less chance of obesity.
  • Healthy stomach biome.
  • Healthier mental state.
  • Less expensive living.

The take home message here is:

  • You are in charge of your own healing and health.
  • A person must put in the work to reap the benefits.
  • In order to heal ourselves, we must do it ourselves. Asking for help is always good.
  • Reiki healing requires the client to be a part of the healing process. Homework!!!
  • Healthy yogurt consumption (little or no sugar, no dyes, low in saturated fat but must has a bit of fat) with fruits or vegetables many days throughout the week is not only healthy for the gut, but is also healthy for our mental bodies as well.
  • Our Physical body is directly linked to our: Emotional bodies, Mental bodies, Spiritual bodies, Astral bodies, and Etheric bodies.
  • What we do to ourselves in our physical bodies will reflect in our whole being.
  • What we do to ourselves in our Emotional and Mental bodies will reflect in our Physical body.

I am pretty happy with one of my new breakfast meals that I will share here.
I make myself a yogurt smoothie using:

  1. 1 cup of Homemade, unsweetened yogurt made with Organic 1% milk. You can use Kefir instead.
  2. 1/4 to 1/2 cup of pure Pomegrante juice.
  3. 1 orange, peeled and broke-up.
  4. 1 tablespoon of Flax seed, ground up at that moment. (Grocery stores do have ground up Flax seed for convinence. But this previously ground Flax loses it's heart  health benefits due to being exposed to heat, light, oxygen, and the storage process. Always grind your own the moment you use it. Store whole Flax seeds in the freezer.)
  5. 1 tablespoon of chia seeds.
  6. If you want, add just a little bit of sea salt to this for the minerals.
Now use a handblender to blend all the ingredients, 1-4 in a large, deep container.
When you are done blending, add the Chia seeds. Let this drink sit for at least 1o minutes to allow the Chia seed to expand a bit.
Drink Up!
The sky is the limit to how you can change this everyday in flavor. Experiment!

I will usually have a piece of bread (whole grain bread, whole grain muffin, whole grain pita, whole grain tortilla) along with my drink.

The yogurt drink gives you:
  • Protein
  • Fiber
  • Lots of potassium/ heart health & blood pressure health.
  • Various minerals
  • Calcium
  • Probiotics
  • Prebiotics
  • Vitamin C
  • Lots of antioxidants.
  • Added liquid for the day. (Many people seem to lack water and liquids.)
  • The Flax is a great source of plant-estrogen. This is very good to take for the Menopausal women! Gives us that little extra estrogen that we would love to have back to feel better. (Flax is also a great plant source of Omega 3 Fatty acids.)

Cheers to taking charge of our own healing!
Cheers to you for doing this.

I created this blog for my Reiki clients originally.  Combining these tools with Reiki creates a happy, healthy person.  These tools, when used alone are also beneficial!
