Healthier Candy!

Easter is around the corner! What will you give your children/ teens for Easter?

Store candy can be quite unhealthy for anyone, but more so for highly sensitive people. The high amount of refined sugar creates a hypersensitive and highly reactive person/child. Too much stimulation!

The artificial trans fats, artificial flavorings, preservatives, artificial colorings added into store bought candy can wreak havoc on the child’s/ person’s whole body.
Our bodies are connected to our minds and spirits. Thus, store bought candy can push any child, teen, person over into the unhealthy range.
Empath children/teens are pushed into too much stimulation creating many unhealthy scenarios.

How about making homemade candy with three ingredients?
Almond flour, raw honey, and dried fruit. (Note, be aware of some dried fruits have preservatives in them. Maybe skip these dried fruits. Or maybe try to dry your own fruit!)
The almond flour has fat and protein which not only helps to slow down the absorption of fructose sugar into your blood stream, but provides nutrients and protein.
Coating this candy with chocolate is optional.

Recipe
1 cup of almond flour
1 cup of dried fruit (any you want)
2 Tablespoons of raw honey

Blend in food processor. Roll into balls. Dip in chocolate if desired.

Chocolate
3/4 cup of real, quality, chocolate such as 60% Ghirardelli chocolate or Ghirardelli White chocolate.
Add 1 Tablespoon of non-hydrogenated coconut oil.
Melt for about 1 minute in a microwave. Gently stir.
If not melted totally, place back in microwave for about 40 seconds or less.

Add about 1/4 teaspoon or less of the chocolate onto wax paper. Drop ball filling into the chocolate. Laddle chocolate over it. Take out with a fork, allowing chocolate to drip back into the bowl. Add the coated ball on top of the 1/4 teaspoon of chocolate. (The 1/4 teaspoon of chocolate helps to coat the bottome of the chocolate ball.)
Continue on until done. Allow to harden.

Healthy candy for the ones we love. 💗
