Cynthia retired from research after having her children.

She soon found a new area to become active in. That area was teaching in the local middle and grade schools.

Cynthia worked as a substitute teacher, teaching grade school and middle school students for around 12 years. She taught music, art, computer science, math, and English/reading.
Cynthia also assisted in programs that helped children who were having a hard time learning.

During this time, Cynthia realized she was and still is, an Empath.
Cynthia immediately started to work with herself on healing any inner hurts from childhood.
This is called, Shadow Working.

As of 2014, Cynthia created Ancient Wisdom Jewelry (Now called Cyn Jewelry), creating and designing handmade jewelry of crystals and precious metals from her home. Cynthia soon found out about how crystals, Empaths, and health go hand in hand.

In 2015, Cynthia created Reiki in the Prairie LLC out of the desire to support others that were looking for a " little bit of help with their health-physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health."

At the time, Cynthia did not understand why she was in some kind of "funk." Later, she intuitively picked up on the word, Reiki. Cynthia did not know what Reiki was at that time. So, she started looking into it. It was her luck or her path to find that there was one Reiki practitioner in her town. Soon after having her first session, Cynthia decided to learn Reiki for herself.

About 6 months into the start of learning Reiki, Cynthia could see the value of this modality. She decided she wanted to bring Usui Reiki to the public.

Cynthia started Reiki in the Prairie LLC with Usui Reiki service & a whole health wellness blog in hopes of providing quality information & guidance from her intuitive and general life experiences. Earlier in Cynthia's quest for quality information on what all her intuitive experiences meant, she found herself on sites that taught only fear. After a lot of searching, she found some quality articles that actually were quite helpful. But going through this phase, Cynthia decided she wanted to help place other quality articles that could help people see some truths, whether it was about intuitive experiences, Empath experiences, Reiki experiences, or health experiences.

Cynthia chose to share ways to stay healthy/selfcare in body, mind, and spirit. Not only coming from an Empath's view, but from being a Reiki Master practitioner as well.

Cynthia is a parent and enjoys her private family life in South Dakota, USA.
Cynthia enjoys: photography, cooking/baking, writing, jewelry making, and creating YouTube videos.
