Sharing Reiki

California by Cynthia Bergsbaken Photography

In learning the technique of Reiki, we learn that when we use our positive imaginations combined with the Reiki energy, we can make a big, positive difference in the world.  We are taught to place Reiki energy in our food and drink to make it more nutritious for ourselves.  We are taught to share Reiki with our families, pets, and plants.

I use Reiki weekly on myself.  Why?  When I use Reiki energy, it tends to keep me energetically in balance and relaxed.  (Reiki energy is the Life Force energy that surrounds us.  It is the energy that makes us and every other living creature the beings we are.)  I feel more energetic, more relaxed and more healthy when providing myself with my Reiki practice.

Years ago,  I was visiting California on the San Andreas fault line.  I remember this well  due to my experience.  It was a typical visit to see my family who lives in Palm Springs, CA.  Due to limited room and an uncomfortable sofa bed, I chose to sleep on the carpeted concrete floor along with  couch cushions.  As I laid there, I became relaxed.  Soon I found myself listening to a sickening sound of strong, loud grinding and breaking of what seemed to be bones.  I found out later I had witnessed a earth quake that had happened, at that time, 64 miles away.  If you have never witnessed (felt/heard) the sound of a earthquake, it sounds like the bones of  earth grinding against each other, breaking and being crushed.  Maybe similar to how a person's bones sound and feel like when bone rubs up against bone, but much louder and stronger.  What I felt and heard was actually granite and other rocks grinding against each other as the earth's quake line moves.

After remembering about this, I decided to give what I could to help heal one of the biggest fault lines.  I sent Reiki energy to this fault line hoping to give some relaxation, stress reduction, less chaos, and some padding between the rocks and stones.  I can't say it helped or gave anything to earth, but I can say, "I tried."

Maybe if we all try to help each other when there is need, including earth, we would all be able to feel more joy, more happiness, and more love in our lives.  Thus we may feel healthier.
I can say, Reiki energy and my practice has brought me much joy, love, and happiness in my life.
"Sometimes we all need a little bit of help!"
