Grounding

What is being ungrounded?

What is being grounded?  To be grounded is to feel secure, confident, in the present moment, belonging, and well grounded.  To feel grounded you are stable, solid, feeling like yourself, and feeling like you're all here and not floating off into another world.

The obvious benefits are:  feeling solid on Earth, feeling positive, feeling confident, feeling like you belong, and security.

All people, especially people who are energy readers, sensitives, and anyone who has high vibration energy, needs to stay grounded.  If not, the consequences are not fun to experience.   The feeling at times is overwhelming if you don't stay connected to Earth-grounded.  People who are high vibration energy people may be experiencing a different realm!   A different vibration level=a different realm.
So if you're not grounded to Earth, you feel "off"=off earth?

To stay grounded means you are able to release other people's negative energy, so you won't feel negative.

Ways to be grounded:

*
Walk or be in nature for at least 20 minutes.

*Work in the dirt-gardening.

*Be in your body and out of your head.  Stop thinking excessively.

*Set your intention in being grounded.  Now use your imagination.  Pretend you have tree roots flowing from the bottom of your feet and your tailbone area.  Send these energy cords down into the middle of Earth. (Notice what color of energy cord you choose to pick.)  (Notice if your cord is flexible, spongy, or inflexible.)

Why the middle of the Earth?  Because if we plant our roots shallow, they will not "weather" all the storms being shallow, uprooting you when under extreme stress.
(If you imagine it, what does the middle of the Earth look like?)
Now that your roots are at the middle of the Earth, bring your consciousness back to your hip area.  Here you'll find a lever that will need to be opened in order to release negative energy down.  So, in your mind open this lever.  Now with intention, you are going to release all negative energy down into the middle of the Earth to be changed to positive energy.  Feel the energy flow down your body, much like the feeling of water flowing from the top of your head, down over your face, down over your chest, down over your hips, and continuing down your legs until the energy is released into the ground.

*Walk barefooted outside on the ground.

*Exercise can be very grounding.

*Lay down on your back or front side and imagine hairline roots flowing from your body.  Pretend you are like a plant and hundreds, or thousands of tiny roots are leaving your body and flowing down in to the ground.  Lay there and feel the energy exchange.  Positive energy from Earth entering your body.  The healing energy enters while the negative energy leaves your body.

*Wear Black or dark red natural stones.  (Either in jewelry or sitting loose in your pants pocket.)  Black Tourmaline, Obsidian, Hematite, & Jet are some examples of black stones.  Garnets (Almandine, Rhodolite, and Black Andradite) and Blood Stones.

*Wear essential oils that are grounding heavy.  Cedarwood, Vetiver, Ginger, Cinnamon, Clove, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Pine, Thyme, & Rosemary are a few that may help.

*To sleep better, try grounding while in your bed with a weighted blanket.  The weighted blanket comes in different weights.  Blankets are filled with glass beads that weigh the blanket down on top of you, making you feel really tucked into your blankets.  This is also creating a secure feeling.

*Look at the colors of your clothing.  The more earthy tones will be more grounding.  Black can be quite grounding, but it isn't a color for everyone.  I'm not a fan of the color black due to it takes the "Life"-energy out of all other colors by it.

* Fabrics used in your clothing and bedding will make a difference.  Fabrics made from plants/animals will be more grounding than synthetics. Plant & Animal fabrics tend to be heavier.  Plant & Animal fabrics:  Cotton, Wool, Silk, Leather, Linen, Hemp, Cashmere, Jute, Bamboo, and Mohair.

* Drinking cold water.

*While driving, open the window and let cold air flow across your face.

*Concentrate on your feet.  How do they feel?  What color do they feel?  What does each toe feel like?  Etc.

*Slow, deep breathing.  Count slowly while taking in a slow breath through your nose.  Let out the breath slowly through your pursed lips.

These are some ideas of how to get grounded.
You may want to re-ground yourself at least twice a day.  Depending on what is going on in your life.  Also, if you're heading out into a stressful event, try grounding yourself before leaving.  I'll do this by walking outside on to our lawn and using my imagination and intention.

Here's to staying grounded!
