Meditation, A way to find yourself.
When we start to meditate, we find that at times, it's hard for us to keep our minds on "nothing!"
Our minds tend to wander, thinking of past moments and what we have to get done in the future.
This is normal. Just sit and "watch" your thoughts go by. Don't interact with them. Just notice them. When you can do this, you will find it a lot easier to relax the mind and let go.
When we meditate, I myself have found that I am able to release the world and just be with "Me".
I am in the present moment while meditating. I am just being. I have no pressures, I have no one to ask favors of me, I have no commitments, I have no responsibilities. I have no one judging me. I am just "me" in this space, relaxing and watching thoughts come in to my consciousness and leaving my consciousness.
Like an open window on each side of the mind.
The more I meditate, the more I am able to find myself and be just myself. Thus, I bring my "authentic self" to the world each day.
The more I meditate, the more I feel mindful. The more I meditate, the more I find myself.
For information on meditating, I wrote a couple of other papers on it.
